Robert Farrell was appointed Head Professional at Cardross Golf Club in April of 1994. Robert is a Class AA (t) Professional which allows him to guide young assistants through their diploma which they require to become fully qualified as a PGA professional in their own right. Assisting Robert in the shop is Robert's wife Vicki who caters for female golfers.
The door to the shop is always open and Robert and his staff welcome both members and visitors alike.

After qualifying in 1985 Robert moved from Dalmuir Golf Club in Clydebank to the private members club at Murrayfield in Edinburgh , where he gained valuable experience in all areas of how to manage a Professional Golf Shop. He remained there for over 3 years before being offered the position of Head Assistant at The Turnberry Hotel and Golf Courses in Ayrshire. There he was responsible for managing many corporate events, the purchasing of stock for the busy shop as well as looking after and training the six other assistants. Eighteen months later Robert took up his first Head Professional's post at Helensburgh Golf Club before moving the short distance to Cardross.
